Elevators are placed under to extremely high requirements for safety and comfort. At the same time, their drive package, i.e. motor and controller, is in constant use in a difficult environment. It is exactly for this demanding environment that HEIDENHAIN is presenting new absolute rotary encoders at the INTERLIFT 201 - The ECN 425 is a digital rotary encoder with integrated interpolation and a bidirectional serial interface. It transmits an absolute, high-resolution position value in short cycle times. This ensures highly dynamic motor control for barely perceptible acceleration and braking processes and special travel options such as fast starting. A high degree of self-monitoring and diagnostics guarantee its functional safety and provides data for preventive service and maintenance interval control. The ECN 425 is easily connected both electronically and mechanically with the respective motor.
- The RIQ/IQN 425 series rotary encoders are characterized by an especially contamination-resistant inductive scanning function and a sturdy bearing. They fulfill the requirements for IP 66 protection and are available both with solid and hollow shafts. They are therefore attractive for applications with high shaft loading as found in belt and toothed-belt drive.
With its new ECN 425 and RIQ 425 rotary encoders, HEIDENHAIN is offering manufacturers of elevator systems more high-performance and highly durable encoders. They increase riding comfort and energy efficiency through high-precision position information for open and closed-loop control tasks in elevator technology. They also offer high reliability through inligent self-monitoring and diagnostics. |
